First Visit

We have carefully  designed our office to be a kid-friendly, comfortable and fun  environment. We complete our dental examination in an age-appropriate  manner and work closely with children to gain their trust. We welcome  your input on how you think your child will do best. We respect your  child’s own rhythm and we encourage the child to watch one of our  stuffed animals have a “tooth check”. Then we give your child oral  hygiene instructions and explain how we count teeth. We also use age  specific terms for the dental instruments so your child feels  comfortable.

We  believe that the dental appointment should be a fun and informative  experience for your child and pleasant experience for you. We encourage  you to be a part of your child’s dental examination so that the doctor  can share his findings with you. We believe in teaching good oral  hygiene principles to you and your child so that you can better instruct  your child at home thus laying a foundation for good oral hygiene.  Prevention, treatment and care at our practice involves coordination and  cooperation between the dental team, the parents and the child.
